You’ve heard of Conveyor ovens, you’ve heard of Double Deck ovens, but where do Rotating Base ovens come into play? The catering world is ever evolving, are you going round in circles or are you adapting to innovation? Lets have a look at how Rotating Base ovens could you be your saving grace!
Rotating ovens are simply a single deck oven, with the ability to rotate the stone base of the oven. Why would you want to do that? Well, Cuppone and Zanolli have championed rotating base ovens, here’s the low down why the pizzeria gods have delivered rotating base ovens.
Cuppone began in 1963 and Zanolli began in 1953, meaning they have more than 60 years independently developing their own craft. Years and years were spent developing catering equipment; In Italy, by Italians. Now its 2024 and they both offer rotating base ovens – each oven uniquely innovative.
The two pizza powerhouses are renowned for producing high quality equipment, used all over the world. But did you know Cuppone were the first in the world to develop an electric rotating base oven?
Cuppone developed their gorgeous Giotto oven with a rotating base in 2009. Sleek design and undeniable results (as seen in our insta video here), what’s not to love? Cuppone were even so kind to add casters, making the Giotto your new best friend, and you can take it anywhere!
Similarly, Zanolli offer the amazing AVGUSTO dome oven – offering a rotating base with that quintessential classic dome exterior. A work of art inside and out, with no cables being visible and the ability to harness the Air Trap System (saving you on 20% on energy over an 8 hour period), this really is a true rotation-revolution.
Rotating base ovens aren’t for everyone – we know that… But, how can anyone make progress in their industry without questioning the norm? What if Nike or Reebok never added air to their shoes? Or, what if you could hear a Rolex go tick, tick tick? Instead of “thinking outside the box”, Cuppone took “the box” and spun its interior into a pizziaolo’s new tool to take over the pizza world.
